OK
and comes from a history of classic quartet music which he has been involved
with all his life. His career as a bass singer began in 1969 with the Travelers
Quartet of Tulsa. He also sang with the Melodyaires of McAlester, Ok. David
Engles' group The Vanguards, Bill Burns and the Kings Sons of Eufaula and most
recently was a charter member of the Homesteaders Quartet of Weleetka for seven
years.
Wayne
comes by his love for quartet music from his father Russell Richardson, who
sang bass for the Stamps Ozark Quartet in the late 1940's and the Believers
Quartet of Tulsa.
Wayne
has been on the stage with many of the industries greats such as The Kingsmen,
Florida Boys, Dixie Melody Boys,
Palmetto
State
and many more. Wayne and his wife Janet have three grown children and
grandchildren.
Wayne
loves singing this style of quartet music and sees himself as one using his
gift in obedience to Gods' calling on his life. Seeing people’s hearts and
lives changed and people being touched by God makes all the miles worth while.
